BTS Hiatus Announcement and Timeline
In June 2022, BTS and their agency announced a temporary pause in group activities. The members stated they would focus on solo work while fulfilling mandatory military service obligations in South Korea. This marked the end of their intensive group promotion cycle that began in 2013.
Military Service and Solo Projects
Under South Korean law, most male citizens must complete mandatory military service. Starting in late 2022, members like Jin, SUGA, j-hope, RM, and Jimin began enlisting, with V and Jungkook following later. During this period, each member released solo music, albums, and individual projects.
Planned Return and Group Activities
BTS confirmed their reunion timeline after all members complete their service. Their agency outlined a schedule for the group to return to full activities, including albums and concerts. Fans can follow official updates on the group's return through their agency channels.
