Who Was the Sixth Disney Princess
The sixth Disney princess is Jasmine, the spirited princess of Agrabah from the 1992 animated film Aladdin. She was introduced after Ariel and before Belle in the official Disney princess lineup.
How Jasmine Joined the Disney Princess Lineup
Disney officially grouped its princesses by release order and story role. Jasmine became the sixth member when the company expanded the franchise in the early 2000s, adding her alongside other heroines from its classic animated features.
Why Jasmine Matters in Disney History
Jasmine is known for her independence, curiosity, and desire to choose her own path. Her story in Aladdin helped broaden the range of Disney princess characters by introducing a princess with a strong sense of identity and agency.
