Who Hosts Saturday Night Live
Saturday Night Live is hosted by a different guest each episode. The host is usually a comedian, actor, musician, or public figure who leads the show and performs in sketches and the opening monologue.
How Hosts Are Chosen
Producers select hosts based on current popularity, timing, and fit with planned sketches. Many hosts are actors promoting a new film or show, while others are musicians or athletes appearing for the first time.
