Where Do Julia and Brandon Live
Julia and Brandon live in Austin, Texas. They chose Austin for its growing job market, relatively affordable housing compared to coastal cities, and proximity to family.
Why Austin, Texas
Texas has no state income tax, which increases take-home pay for many households. Austin also offers a mix of urban amenities and suburban neighborhoods, making it a common choice for young professionals and families.
Housing and Cost of Living
Their monthly housing costs include rent and utilities, which are below the national average for major metros. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, housing expenses in Austin remain moderate compared to cities like San Francisco or New York.
Julia and Brandon also track local property trends using public data from the U.S. Census Bureau to understand long-term affordability in their area.
