What Happened with Katy Perry and a Space Flight
Katy Perry did not fly to space herself. The confusion started because she appeared in a promotional video for a commercial spaceflight experience. The video was part of a marketing campaign for a private space tourism provider, not a personal trip by Perry.
Which Company Offered the Experience
The campaign was tied to Virgin Galactic, a company that offers suborbital space tourism flights. Virgin Galactic has carried private passengers on brief trips above Earth, but Perry was not among the listed crew or passengers on those missions.
Was the Katy Perry Space Flight Real
No, Katy Perry did not go to space. Reports and clips that suggest she flew are from marketing materials and entertainment segments. The flights that did occur were real commercial spaceflights operated by the company, but Perry’s involvement was limited to promotional appearances.
