Mick Jagger was born Michael Philip Jagger on 26 July 1943 in Dartford, Kent, England. He grew up in a middle class household with his parents, Basil and Eva Jagger, and his younger brother, Chris Jagger.

Education and Early Musical Interests

Jagger attended Wentworth Primary School before moving to Dartford Grammar School. As a child, he sang in the church choir and developed an early interest in American rhythm and blues and rock and roll.

Influence on Later Career

His childhood exposure to blues records and local bands shaped his vocal style and stage presence. These early experiences helped lay the foundation for his future role as the lead singer of The Rolling Stones.
