Aang, the Avatar
Aang is the last surviving Air Nomad and the Avatar, the bridge between the physical and spirit worlds. He must master all four elements to defeat the Fire Nation. His journey begins when he is discovered frozen in an iceberg by Katara and Sokka.
Katara and Sokka
Katara is a waterbender from the Southern Water Tribe who becomes Aang's primary mentor in waterbending. Her brother Sokka provides tactical thinking and comic relief. Together, they form the core team that travels with Aang across the world.
Zuko and Iroh
Prince Zuko is the banished heir to the Fire Nation throne, initially hunting Aang to regain his honor. His uncle, General Iroh, is a wise former general and skilled firebender who guides Zuko toward redemption.
