Who Was John Gotti

John Gotti was an American mobster who led the Gambino crime family in New York during the late 20th century. He became known as the "Teflon Don" because several criminal trials against him ended in acquittals before he was eventually convicted.

Robert Mueller served as a federal prosecutor and later as FBI Director. During his career, Mueller was involved in high-profile organized crime cases, including those targeting the Gambino family and associates linked to John Gotti. His work contributed to federal efforts against racketeering and murder-for-hire schemes.

John Gotti was convicted in 1992 on racketeering and murder charges and sentenced to life in prison. He died in federal custody in 2002. The cases surrounding Gotti remain a reference point in discussions of federal prosecution of organized crime.
